I created this "Peat maze" at Tom Tits Experiment Park out of 3300 bundles that were transported from a peat-bog in southern Sweden. Each block is tied to the other by three angled irons: 9900 in all. The structure is 200 square meters, with walls reaching 2 meters high. It disposes of two entrances with a drinking fountain made of limestone at its center. Wandering through invites prehistoric smells and you can get lost easily in there. I resorted to the services of two assistants on this project over the two months that bridged winter and spring of 1998.
